PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi Transferred to Lahore from Adiala Jail

Joint Investigation Team of Lahore Police was probing the ex-foreign minister in Adiala Jail regarding the May 9 cases.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been transferred from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi to Lahore on Monday. The former foreign minister is set to appear before the Lahore court regarding cases stemming from incidents on May 9.

Early in the morning, Lahore Police escorted Shah Mehmood Qureshi from Adiala Jail to Lahore, with heightened security measures in place. Sources indicate that Qureshi will face proceedings in the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore, where the Joint Investigation Team of Lahore Police had been investigating him in connection with the May 9 riots.

According to Barrister Taimur Malik, Qureshi’s lawyer, the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court judges are scheduled to hear the May 9 cases at Kot Lakhpat Jail today (Monday).
