Peoples Bus Service Suspended on Select Routes for 9th and 10th Muharram

KARACHI: The Peoples Bus Service has declared the cessation of its operations on designated routes throughout 9 and 10 Muharram.

Karachi’s Peoples Bus Service has announced the suspension of operations on several routes during the observance of 9th and 10th Muharram. However, the service will continue to operate on the route from Malir Halt to Super Highway during these days.

Earlier, Karachi Police issued a detailed traffic plan for the https://thenewsways.com/karachi-police-unveil-security-plan-for-9th-and-10th-muharram/  8th, 9th, and 10th of Muharram. On the 8th Muharram, a procession will commence from Nishtar Park and conclude at Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar. For security reasons, Muhammad Ali (MA) Jinnah Road will be closed from Gurumandir to Tower during this time.

The route of the procession includes Nishtar Park, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-i-Shah-i-Khurasan, MA Jinnah Road, Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, Baba-e-Urdu, Bara Imam, Nishtar Road, Altaf Hussain Road, Bolton Market, Nawab Mahabat Khanjee Road, Bombay Bazar, and Kharadar Police Station to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah.

On the 9th Muharram, a procession will start from Martin Road Imambargah, Liaquatabad, at 9 am, reaching Nishtar Park by noon for a Majlis. Subsequently, it will proceed from Nishtar Park to Hussainian Iranian Imambargah in Kharadar, following the same route.
