Mohammad Amir Secures Ireland Visa, Expected to Rejoin Team on May 10

Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir on Thursday secured his visa for Ireland and is expected to join the team on May 10

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been diligently arranging for fast bowler Mohammad Amir’s timely departure to Dublin for the upcoming three-match T20I series. However, in a recent press release, the PCB announced that Amir will miss the first T20I due to delays in the issuance of his visa, with expectations of joining the team on Friday.

While the rest of the Men in Green arrived in Dublin via Dubai on Wednesday, Amir’s departure was hindered by the visa delay. Consequently, he will sit out the first T20I match, with plans to link up with the squad later.

The absence of Shadab Khan and Hasan Ali during the team’s departure for Ireland was notable, as they joined the squad in Dublin after their participation in the County Championship.

The PCB had earlier unveiled an 18-member squad for the upcoming series against England and Ireland, including Hasan Ali while omitting pacer Zaman Khan, who featured in the recent series against New Zealand.

Post the three-match series against Ireland, the Pakistani squad is scheduled to travel to England for a four-match series. The national selection committee reintroduced Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Salman Ali Agha to the 18-player squad, while Usama Mir and Zaman Khan failed to make the final cut.
