Imran Khan’s Interim Bails in May 9 Cases Revoked

ATC Cancels Imran Khan's Interim Bail in May 9 Cases

In a significant development, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore has revoked the interim bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan in three cases related to incidents on May 9. These cases include the Jinnah House, Askari Tower, and Shadman Police Station arson incidents.

Just three days ago, the Lahore ATC had reserved its decision after hearing arguments on Imran Khan’s request for interim bail. The government had urged for Imran Khan’s arrest in these cases, citing the necessity for further investigation.

Today, ATC Judge Khalid Arshad announced the court’s decision to reject Imran Khan’s requests for interim bail.

Currently, Imran Khan is serving imprisonment in Adiala Jail and has also faced sentencing in the iddat marriage case. Recently, Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka dismissed appeals from Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi seeking the suspension of their sentences.
