Former PTI Leader Alleges Judges Are Rewriting History.

Former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry made headlines in Islamabad, expressing his views on the potential outcomes of a deal between the establishment and the founder of the former ruling party. Amid rumors of discussions between the PTI and the establishment, Chaudhry suggested that if such a deal were struck, the founder of the party could transform into Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. These comments arose amidst increasing speculation surrounding talks between the PTI and the establishment, particularly fueled by statements from senior PTI leader Shehryar Afridi indicating potential dialogue with the military leadership. Chaudhry, while denying any departure from the PTI, emphasized his skepticism regarding the likelihood of the incarcerated former prime minister, ousted in April 2022, striking a deal with the establishment. He warned that such a move could see Imran Khan transforming into Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting a shift in power dynamics. Despite the challenges faced by Pakistan, particularly economic instability, Chaudhry asserted the sufficiency of the existing Constitution, dismissing the need for a new charter. Additionally, he lauded the judiciary while suggesting that judges were playing a role in rewriting history.
