According to sources reported by Pinkvilla, Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan has chosen to withdraw from the project Toxic due to scheduling conflicts with Yash, as stated by sources familiar with the matter.
“Kareena Kapoor’s scheduling conflicts with Yash’s dates for Toxic led to her decision to step away from the project. Despite efforts to resolve the scheduling conflict, the makers have mutually agreed to part ways,” the sources revealed.
Meanwhile, other sources mentioned that discussions have already commenced with alternative actors to fill the role that Kareena Kapoor Khan vacated. The character in Toxic holds significant importance in the storyline, particularly emphasizing sibling dynamics, thus necessitating the presence of a prominent star. The production team is seeking actresses with a Pan India presence for the role,” the source added.
As per the latest updates, Kiara Advani has been selected as the female lead opposite Yash in Toxic.
The filming for the movie is currently in progress, with its release scheduled for April 10, 2025.
Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan appeared in the film ‘Crew’ alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu.
The official synopsis describes ‘Crew’ as a narrative that follows the journey of three hardworking women who find themselves entangled in unexpected situations, leading to a web of deception.
Apart from the aforementioned trio, the comedy-drama also features actor-musician Diljit Dosanjh, with a special appearance by Kapil Sharma. Notably, Yash’s ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ hit theaters on April 14, 2022.
